Good for flying insects if they stay still!
I've found this good for big slow flying insects but not so good for small quick ones - the old-fashioned fly swat which you can do a quick whip backhand with is better for those. This one stuns flies for long enough for you to get them outside, it will kill more delicate things like daddy-long-legs and mosquitos.
