Repairs minor awning rail damage
Does what it is meant to, but the front edge of the bar is square section, which does tend to dig into the soft aluminium rail if you are not very careful. Rounding off the leading edge of the bar would make an improvement to the device.

Did what it was meant to
Did what it was meant to & opened up a squashed awning rail.
However, the central bar has sharp edges which can cut into the soft aluminium awning rail unless you are very careful. It might be even better if the central bar had a rounded or chamfer finish on the front edge.
