Nanook
2 of 2 found this helpful Even though this film is self defined as docu-fiction by the filmmaker it offers a very honest and human treatment of the harsh life conditions of the Hudson Bay Inuit. The staging of scenes doesn't take away from the films impact and it's hard to be critical of this method in today's over-saturation of staged and over produced "reality" TV. Really quite extraordinary considering director Flaherty did it all by himself. More extra features would have been nice but this is still a nice addition to my growing list of Criterion titles.
