The card's still relevant!
3 of 3 found this helpful It's a fine card. I already had one, and this second one was for an SLI setup. Good card, still relevant as of December 2014.

Great card to flash to IT mode for direct device addressing.
This is exactly what I needed... sort of. This card runs a SAS2008 controller, which is shares by the LSI 9211 controller. I had to flash this card with the LSI firmware so that I could run it in IT mode in order to run a low-level format on a bunch of hard drives to change the logical sector from 520 to 512, which makes the drives I had acquired compatible with normal SAS controllers. It worked exactly as advertised, and will be a great tool for myself in the future.
