A really cruel and nasty film
1 of 1 found this helpful I have been a life-long Bond fan but this film is so nasty that it makes me feel ashamed. I took the family to see this film at the cinema and we left feeling dirty.
This film does not follow the format of previous Bond films. It is edited far too fast and has very little plot between the interminable chases (car, running, boat plane, car, running, etc). Clearly the Producer/Director wanted to make a Borne film rather than a Bond film.
In this film Bond is a one dimensional cruel assassin. I know that has always been part of Bonds make up but in this film, that is all you get - relentlessly.
Single handed, this film has put the entire franchise at risk. Bring back Bond before it is too late.

Yes its ambitious but its also largely unsatisfying.
1 of 1 found this helpful We had to wait a long time for this album from PMG and it has to be said that when it arrived it was unsatisfying.
Instead of the usual collection of recognisable tracks, this is a number of "movements" - which even after repeated listening are not easy to distinguish from each other.
The usual PMG tonal quality is there as are the signature time changes and traits and clearly a lot of effort is expended. The musicianship is up to its usual extraordinary standard. However, whilst it is pleasant enough to listen to, most of it is forgettable.
Overall a disappointment.
Pat, we desperately need another great PMG record soon - please.

A truly horrible film
