Wonderful family fun, timeless
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this for my two children who are 2 and 3 years old. This was an old time favourite for me and I wanted to see how my boys would like it. The music ia lovely, very child friendly and the film as a whole makes you smile. Even today at 30 years old I still have a laugh at the King and Queen and how he keeps tryng to bump her off. If you suspend reality for a time and just take it for what it is, no dramatic special effects or updated graphic you can sit and enjoy an old classic which has never dated and can still bring a smile to your face. From the begining the children get you on side by how lovely they are. Dick Van Dyke is still the timeless actor he always was. The lady who played lead is in her first and I believe last role on screen which is a shame as she had a presence on screen. I always enjoyed this film as a child and it has turned into a film my children now love, it works well for boys and girls.
