A great way to start a life long hobby
1 of 1 found this helpful A simple boxed set containing a circuit of track and a loco and couple of trucks. In the box there's the necessary mains powered controller which saves an otherwise mass of disposable batteries. Having it set up straight away to run around the base of the family's Christmas tree can provide lots of fun for a young child new to model trains.
The good thing about model railways is that you can always add something more to a layout, whether it's more track or more rolling stock. So that's all future Christmas and birthday present worries sorted for that child. From this small start a life long hobby and/or a life time career can be that child's future.

Good for starters.
It's good for small fingers who don't yet understand the more delicate and more expensive model railways. A good starter for a lifelong hobby of model and miniature railway operation.
