Good value zoom lens
2 of 2 found this helpful This lens works great with my D300. The zoom seems a little stiff but it has a nice wide zoom ring with a nice grip and let's face it, you will usually be using it at 300mm or 70mm. Sharp and quick focusing. It is light and reasonably priced. I can't say about durability yet.

It's a classic
9 of 9 found this helpful Even though Nikon no longer makes this camera, it has all of the features that I want and not a bunch of stuff that I don't want. It works flawlessly with my extensive collection of F mount lenses dating back to the 70's giving me focus confirmation on the manual focus ones. It's a convenient size and has built in flash. When you add the supplemental battery grip it is about the same size as my D1x and it will run on AA batteries, good in a pinch.
