New Design - Works Great ONLY Straight DC Current
The new design lets you rotate the face 180 degrees without getting out the Dremel tool and cutting a notch so the wire connections are at the top where the wires are usually coming from for room lighting. I have been using this type of dimmer for my household whole room hidden lighting project. It has an infinite variance of light levels from off to 100% on. (The older style had a notch where the wire connector was - This style eliminates that. The only caveat is the wiring diagram is rotated as well.) (NOT Recommended for Switching Power Supplies! This Is Not A DIGITAL Style Dimmer)
Consumers PLEASE NOTE: Every RF wireless remote that I have bought so far on eBay for my whole house LED lighting project has had the exact same frequency - 433.92MHz. Push a button on the remote in one room and almost every other light in the house changes also. Another "RF" option is putting the RF Receiver in a steel tube/pipe so the RF Remote must be 'Aimed' at the receiver.
I have found that the IR wireless remote to be a better 'room by room' solution where running wires present a problem.
FYI: RF is the abbreviation for Radio Frequency = so far, all of the eBay purchased models that I have bought goes thru most non-metallic objects up to 90 feet and EVERY one has been the same 433.92MHz frequency. IR is the abbreviation for Infrared = Line of sight. Like your TV, the remote must be 'aimed' towards the TV for it to work.
NOTE TO MANUFACTURER: (1.) It would be nice if this product had a model that had CCTV Connectors. (2.) There's room enough inside to make this product less than half the width so a person could put two of these in a double-gang light switch box without modifications. (I have had to remove the insides and make my own mounts.) (3.) Make a design that mimics the USA 110-120v light switch mounting. (I have not been able to find anything that works the way I want it to in my local Brick & Mortar businesses.)

It is a analog device and will burn out a 72W-6A brick type Switching PSU
A high-end PSU might able to handle the analog dimmer. For LED's being fed by a battery would not have a problem and then I could and would recommend this device

Great Product! Does Its Job!
Accidentally drove it thru the creek twice. Drove thru some very heavy dew in the grass. Still working great. The Traxxas stock Velineon NEEDS cooling when you step up to a 3-cell LiPO battery. On a 85 degree day, running the Velineon hard, the highest temp. that I have seen is 165.4 degrees.
The only negative that I can say it that it needs to come with a fan guard. I fabricated one from hobby sized expanded metal & No.6 x 3/8" sheet metal screws and that has the fan well protected.
