more faux metal than grunge .
3 of 4 found this helpful i had one of these when i first started playing. i thought it sounded great back in the 90's . it still sounds o.k. but it could use more pick attack,and the highs are way too harsh and when you turn up the lows it cancells out a lot of the highs,so you have too compensate for that. it is best with really high gain pickups like a super distortion,then you get some decent pick attack,otherwise it is pretty hard clipping. i'd give it a 6 out of 10.

this is one of the best looking pedals out there for dirt money. aluminum chassis,nice tight knobs. this being said, the pedal slightly resembles the suhr riot .so I thought it would be at least high gain like it says on the box and in the description. wrong...the tone is best described as a low gain fuzz tone,and there is only a very narrow useable window with the tone knob. if you run it into your dirt channel obviously you will get more dirt ,but I would not recommend this for an o.d. distortion.
