KMC 11 speed chains

KMC chains seem to last that little bit longer than the shimano and sram.

Japanese moticing/cutting gauge

for the price excellent. Nit picking the channel the blades run in is a fair bit wider than the blades so if not tightened firmly there is a risk of slippage of the iron, also the knives are not perfectly parallel to the fence I think this is a deliberate design feature. Certainly once sharpened the line cut is clean. I have added an additional 5mm to the fence and changed the clamping nut. Once I've used for a while I may buy 2 more so I have single irons in 2 and keep the 3rd for morticing probably having a fixed mortice width.
