A well illustrated guide
Siminoff's book is an easy to understand and well illustrated guide to making a bluegrass banjo, there are lots of photographs of all the procedures in banjo construction, well drawn plans and different ideas on inlays. The book is a good size and the binding makes it easy to lay flat.
I look forward to start to make one soon.

Haunting and thought provoking tragedy
Lars Von Trier's film makes for compelling watching. The film is a haunting and thought provoking tragedy with musical style interludes. I found the acting by all the cast excellent.
Not the sort of film to cheer you up.

Cliff jack sockets
Use them in my fender vibro champ build, they look smart and easy to solder. They are a little larger than the Switchcraft open frame type, so you need to allow a little more room on your layout.
