Cheap, Accurate, Repeatable
Pros: It does the job
It agrees with much more expensive micrometers
The anvils have a mirror finish
It truly is fast
The spring allows you to spin a shaft while measuring to check for any non-uniformity
Cons: The thumb lever is in the perfect position for a left-handed person. I rotated mine 90 degrees and that suited me better
The spindle (if you could call it that as it does not spin) is marginally loose, it does not seem to affect measurements though.
Misc: The thimble is purely cosmetic, I would rather it not be there (to whatever extent possible)

You can draw on anything!
honestly I use mine more often as a scribe, it also happens to work for wheel dressing.
