spares or repair
0 of 3 found this helpful I probably would have felt guilty about buying a properly working one, but this had an otherwise unobtainable part in it which I managed to successfully repair my better one with really good results.

Intel Xeon 2.4 GHz Processor 603 pin
This is a fast version of the 'original Northwood type Pentium 4' industrial strength Xeon processor. They support Hyper-Threading Technology which means one physical processor can act as two logical processors, but are 32-bit only. You can't run XP x64 version or 64-bit Vista.
Most motherboards that support this processor type are large - bigger than standard ATX, and take two or four processors, although they will usually operate with only one processor. These motherboards are not designed for overclocking, but support such features as error correcting memory.
Standard coolers are optimised for industrial use and can be quite noisy, but are adaptable for home use by using fan controllers or alternative coolers available from QuietPC etc.
These processors will run Vista with ease. They have excellent performance, although the fastest models (e.g. 3Ghz) seem to be rare. It is possible to use a 603-pin Xeon processor on a motherboard designed to take the later 604-pin Xeons.

Works with film cameras too
This lens is compact light & amazingly cheap. Works well on MZ3/MZ5 type cameras, although if you go right to 18mm you get a circle(vignetting). Aperture is set automatically.
