Bose Excellence
1 of 1 found this helpful I already have a pair of the (sibling speakers) Bose 151’s, and they are impressive, but oh my god, when I hooked up my new 251’s up last weekend, I was knocked over by the quality sound coming from these speakers. Nice bass and impressive mids let the high notes come through with such clarity.
And this was before I decided to play around with the Yamaha RXV1700 tone controls for my combined second and third zones (where the 251’s run from).
Well this has taken these speakers to the next level! Now we’re talking rich bass, superb mids and perfect highs are what we are listening to! The sort of sound that made me just sit and listen for a few hours. I felt like a kid, excited to hear what the next track would sound like through the 251’s, and as the tracks rolled on I was not once disappointed from what I was hearing from these speakers.
Bose amaze me with what they do and how they do it! Although slightly larger and heavier than the 151’s. But still a compact and well designed outdoor speaker, that project their sound as if there is music everywhere in your backyard.
The great thing about the 251’s, is even at low volume, sitting around chatting with friends, the music quality is there with an impressive low volume bass still being reproduced by them.
Take it to the party level, and all hell breaks lose! The 251’s once again handled it no problems with no distortion and quality of sound lost, just bold, loud, rich, quality music everywhere in my backyard!
Just don’t expect to have a conversation with anyone in the vicinity of the speakers while you have them cranked, cause you simply can’t!
For anyone that is looking for quality all weather outdoor speakers, you really can’t go past Bose 251’s. You may pay a little more initially, but these speakers will stay with you for your lifetime, and give you nothing but pure satisfaction every time you listen to them.
