    Marty Wilde CD
In 1959 I was a "Teenager in Love". I met my girlfriend, got married, and we had two children and four grandchildren. Now I am an "OAP in Love" having just qualified for my State Pension, and we are still together and very much in love. Several weeks ago whilst browsing the Sunday papers I saw an advertisement for a "Marty Wilde and the Wildcats" show to be held at Halifax in April this year and memories of their records of the fities and sixties came flooding back. Soon I was humming their hits like "Teenager in Love" and "Rubber Ball" and I decided to turn to E Bay to see if there was a CD which would musically carry me back all of those decades. Sure enough I found one for sale and made a successful bid. It wasn't long before the post man was knocking on the door with a small parcel, and in "record" time (or should I say in CD time) I was singing away to Marty and his band. Needless to say I have played it daily since it arrived, and do a few twists and twurls when no one is about. I have even started to wear my shirt collar turned up when singing "Bad Boy" as Marty did on TV all those years ago. I honestly believe the money paid for the CD was the best money I ever spent - that is apart from an Eddy Cochrane extended play record I bought in 1959 for three shillings and nine pence. But then perhaps you have no clue as to how much that was!! Happy days.
