High quality, sturdy, easy to use, but expensive
Very expensive, but also the most solid construction arm I have seen. I'm using it with the Samsung CRG9 49" Ultrawide monitor and it holds it as steady as a rock, there is no need to buy the heavy duty bracket that goes on the back of the monitor, the one that comes with the Ergotron HX as standard is easily capable of holding the weight of the CRG9. Moves very easily but stays in place exactly where you want it to, do make sure you read the instructions and make adjustments to the arm accordingly to make sure there is the correct amount of tension for the arm to work correctly I have had a couple of other arms.from other manufacturers, all of which I have been happy with, however when I bought the CRG9 I knew I would need something much sturdier to cope with the weight, and this arm does it perfectly. In terms of value for money then unfortunately Ergotron have you between a rock and a hard place, there is no other monitor arm that I know of that will cope with the weight of very large monitors, therefor they can charge a large amount more than you would expect to pay. Would I buy it again, well as I said there isn't really any alternative for larger heavy monitors, so yes I would buy it again, the only reason I would not buy it is simply the cost.
