Sit back and let this fine actress, Claire Danes, take you on a journey....
1 of 1 found this helpful Damien Lewis was supposed to be the MAIN actor in this series and he is one of my favorite actors. However, Claire Danes' acting ability completely took over this series (in a good way) and now she is the MAIN actor. As a matter of fact, this entire series is centered around her character. If you want to see some excellent acting ability, this is it.

Excellent series.... never got it's credit when it was first on TV.
4 of 4 found this helpful This series never did get the credit it should have gotten. Actually one of the top FIVE that I own. I watched the series on TV, and did not buy the DVDs until a couple of years later. I actually enjoyed the second viewing more. Several of these actors went on to become quite recognized in moives and other series'.

Easily in the TOP FIVE best ever series'!
This is the second best 'series' I have ever seen, with DEADWOOD" being the best. Make sure you start with the first season and watch the characters grow as the seasons go forward. Many famous actors (Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Samuel Jackson) are hooked on the series and are trying to get on the series.
