March on to Glory Sgt Major George Oakwood.
I originally had the paper back copy of Tides of War. I found it a fascinating book. It took me back to the back streets of Birmingham and the army barracks of that era. The descriptive power of Ronald Pearsell is without blemish. The book is historically sound and one lives every moment of a soldier of that period. I had worn my paper back copy out. and was delighted to have been able to buy a hard back copy. March on to glory Sgt Major George Oakwood.
