Wire On Returning CD Review
An experimental purchase on my part. An interesting listen. Wire have clearly been very influential. On first listen, I could hear Gang Of Four, Elastica & Howard Devoto in there. The first half of the CD is the stronger musically for me - with the latter half sounding more experimental. It's definitely not commercial in any way. That said, it's an interesting listen for a fiver. You've got to respect the band's creativity and the labels,who, back in the day had the guts to release this style of more 'awkward' music.

Cramps Off The Bone 2CD
I've always enjoyed the more commercial Cramps so thought I'd give this 2CD set a go. Can't complain in terms of value but the first CD "Off The Bone" is a hard listen. As the title suggests it's very raw both in nature and production and even the wonderful 'Surfin Bird' is hard work. Good for the die hard fans but personally I prefer the more commercial stuff from "Smell Of Female" and beyond.
