An American's idea of cannibalising the family wardrobe.
This book sounded great fun and really useful: however, the projects largely depend on chopping up an endless supply of T Shirts and sheets. Maybe this is the staple content of an average American's wardrobe. The written instructions have limited value, because they are not accompanied by line drawings or illustrations. There is, apparently an option to access a related website, however, this proved not to be available. Some of the project titles are, simply, nonsense to my mind: for example, Denim Tiffin Bag, and Bunny Bed with Old Sweater. Genuinely, I would like to recommend this book, but I could only recommend it to an enthusiastic twelve year old with access to an unlimited supply of (as previously mentioned) T-shirts.

Lightweight with great features: personally uanble to make this particular pattern. Would love to have the time and yarn to do so.
The shell pattern on this shawl is such a lovely design: not too cobwebby (ie. Hallowe-en-ish) and it would be such a versatile addition to any wardrobe. Likewise the poncho, but that is a much greater undertaking to complete. One day I look forward to being able to knit both these patterns, but I am weighed down with one unfinished quilt, one long sleeveless knitted waistcoat and one incomplete pullover at the moment.
