Little Heavy

This paddle is fast. I am a beginner and my friends say maybe too fast. It's also a little heavy considering it's carbon should be lighter than wood right? I am glad I bought it for around 60 cuz they go for over 100 supposedly and it is better than the cheaper wood paddles with no pad I got in a kit from Sports Authority for 30 bucks including balls.
