Perfect for someone with restricted ability or someone living alone.
I ordered a VKJ318 but received a VKJ784 so I am reviewing a very similar product but not this exact product.
Firstly the price. If I had been able to purchase it anywhere at the regular price, it would have been good value, but due to covid & that sellers are profiteering, I had to buy at a massively inflated price.
The hot cup is actually really good for us. My wife has a disability in which she has serious tremors & with this, she doesn't have to lift a heavy kettle full of scalding water. We looked at those tipping kettles, but they seem to spill water all over the place, so we ruled them out.
The design is good & the controls are simple.
It isn't much larger than a normal family kettle, so that is brilliant. One fill lasts the 2 of us a full day.
On the slight negative I would say that the highest fill setting is a little on the low side for a mug & the control is quite stiff.
If you can find it at the regular price (approx £50 in the UK), then I would say that you have a near 5* product.

Canon MP640 all in one WI-FI printer
5 of 5 found this helpful I have been using a HP5280 all in one printer until now. It has been a brilliant printer and would normally have a lot more life in it. The Driver software has been throwing up continuous errors. Hp have virtually given up on it and so I have lost all faith with HP.
I read about this Canon MP640 printer by accident. I was looking through a photography magazine and they were reviewing about a dozen of the best photo printers and this one came out top. I especially need direct printing onto CD/dvd's and this does it. I researched the ink costs and it is incredibly low cost. Especially compared to my HP5280. The printer is Wi-Fi and was easy to set up into my network. The print quality is incredibly good. The printer itself is really quiet. It prints really well onto CDs and dvds and the ink dries almost instantaneously. One criticism though is about the CD/dvd drawer. It is really flimsy and I suspect that I will need to replace it many times as I do a lot of printing onto CD for my small business. I just hope that it doesn't cost more than my printer cost originally.
The Canon MP640 is widely available at Argos and online. I bought mine online for £159.99 and it arrived next day. Prices seem to currently vary from £130 or so up to £185.
All in all I would really recommend it without hesitation.

Humax makes me a happy teddy
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this freesat receiver after my 4 existing Triax proved to be a disaster. They didn't use the standard channel numbers and regularly lost the channel. The Triax took a week to get the favourites set up. I had studied various alternatives and this one came out tops every time. The best deal came as usual from Ebay so I bought one to try. It is HD and absolutely brilliant. More than I expected. The set up was so easy and quick. The picture quality in sd & hd is brilliant. The guide is perfect and easy to use.
I loved it so much that I immediately bought another. Just saving up to replace the final 2 Triax and then I will be a happy teddy bear.
