Why buy an expensive SLR when this does the job!
2 of 2 found this helpful Since compleating a photography course at college last year, I have just not had the money to buy an expensive SLR to do all the things I wanted to. But I came accross a review about the Pro815 and it looked just what I was looking for. After looking for the best deal on ebay, I found my baby!
At £116 (what I paid for it), it was cheaper than most point and shoot cameras so I wasnt expecting the reviews to be accurate....but they were!!!!
I love it and would recomend anyone to have a look at it. The long zoom lens is awsome, very large LCD viewing screen is easy to use with on board features like real time histogram and loads more.
If you just want a camera with a point and shoot mode, then the auto is great for that too and the camera still has all the extras if you want to learn more.
Even my brother in law, who is a professional photographer and has £1,000's worth of gear is very impressed with the Pro815 and is going to buy himself one to take to places he wouldnt risk the expensive gear.
Nothing I dont like about it but shooting in RAW takes a bit longer to process than some SLRs.

Sony Reader is well worth buying
I didnt know what to expect as I had never used a 'Reader' before but I am glad I have now!
I bought it as I like to get away and chill out but like to have a good read too. Books are heavy and if like me, you get bored easily and start another...you could end up taking a small libary with you.
The Sony Reader stores more books than I could ever read so I can never get bored.
Very easy to use. Lightweight and well made too.
For the price of these and the ease of adding more books to them, I consider them one of the most usefull gadgets ever.
Downside - there has to be one lol - you need an extra light to read them in the dark so a built in backlight, like on a mobile phone, would have made it perfect....maybe there is on other modles ect but for the 300, there isnt.
