Nice Piece of History

Barber half dollars were only minted from 1892 up to 1915 and were very popular coins in their day. This is exemplified by how worn or polished most of them are. Yet they have held up nicely because most can be readily identified to year and location of minting. These coins also mark a radical change in U.S. history when the "Old West" was ending and the age of the automobile was beginning. For any serious collector these are Must Have coins but are not so pricey anyone cannot own them and enjoy a remarkable time in our history and evolution as a Nation and Society.

Great Piece of History with Value!

The Barber Half Dollars were an incredibly popular coin in their day. Owning one not only brings American history alive but gives the owner something that will never loose value; never mind it is made from a precious metal; silver. The 1911-S coin as a collector coin holds it's value no matter how the market goes. Any 1911-S is good investment for you, your kids, or grand kids! That is why I collect them.
