Back-to-Basics reminder in the tech age
Author gives firsthand experience as practical advice, much-needed in today's world where everything has to be plugged in. Manages to show how her family lives the simple life while leaving the reader to adapt his own way to traditional methods. No feeling of anything staged or phoney but a very real and beautiful account. I love Martha Stewart, but Merissa's message is loud and clear: You can do this.

Even more than I expected.
2 of 2 found this helpful After seeing the author being interviewed on TV by Geraldo Rivera about this book, I must admit that I was both intrigued and annoyed all at the same time as she described it: Here are the only pictures taken upstairs at Graceland that have been published. Shouldn't Elvis' privacy be protected by those he trusted? On the other hand, I couldn't wait to get the collector's edition so as to not miss a thing. I guess we all have our weak sides. When my copy came, I poured over it for days. Jeanne's story revealed some wonderful insights into Elvis' personal life. Should such things be detailed for public consumption? That is a continuing question, but at least someone who cared gave us a simple, loving glimpse into it all. I've been an Elvis collector for many many years, and this book goes in to my top ten favorites of the books.

Nicolle Wallace gives fly-on-the-wall experiences every time
1 of 1 found this helpful Who better to give us insight about the goings-on of the Washington experience than longtime insider Nicolle Wallace? I put her on a par with good "historical" fiction writers who put the reader in an intriguing world apart from the general populace.
