Compared to Anime

As Samurai movies, these are good, but they don't compare to the Anime originals. The Anime is amazing in the writing, direction, and art work. Had these live action movies incorporated more of the original characters and their proper interactions with each other into the acted parts, and had the writers not changed the story lines, these would have been amazing movies. So, though I gave these live action movies a good rating on their own, I do not see them as high of a rating as compared to the original Anime stories.
