Sturdy, budget minded alternative for long lens users

This particular tripod is weight rated for 26.4 lbs. but I was skeptical that it would be very solid. I am used to a much heavier and much more solid feeling tripod for my long lens. However, I was looking for an alternative to lugging around my heavy tripod setup for every situation, which is why I chose this unit. It is a 3 piece leg configuration which does not make it the most compact of the newer breed of carbon fiber tripods available, however I was concerned that the 4 piece tripod legs would be to skinny and not rigid enough for heavy lens applications. I have been pleasantly surprised so far, however I have not attempted to mount my gimbal head as of yet. Currently I have a Benro G3 low profile ball head on mine and have used a nikon d500 with a 200-500 af lens and collar and it has been just fine. I also have been experimenting with inverting the center pole for macro photo work which is an added feature to this tripod.I also like the large thumbscrew knobs for the head and center pole connections. Would recommend this simply on the price point and the design alone versus a higher priced boutique named unit.
