A very good read.
Good introductory book about an interesting topic. I am sure there are more detailed books on the subject, but this one has proved to be a good first purchase.

Well worth reading, as a general intro to the subject
An interesting book, I felt it could have done with more interesting details eg just how long did it take to construct a ship say in 1550. However the book does cover a very long period, eg many centuries. Great photos.
