A feminist perspective on Doll manufacturing in the erly 20th century.
This book gave very useful history explaining doll making in America at the turn of the 20th century. Comparing this to the late 19th century history in Germany gave me insight into women's and children's lives at this time. When I collect dolls and learn about them it makes my occupation more enjoyable.
We learn about the feminist perspective of these activities, early manufacturing processes and the differences between how people do business.
I also learned that 'mommy made' dolls were always the childs favorite toy. Interesting.
