Trijicon TR22-1G AccuPoint 2.5-10x56 Riflescope Standard Duplex Crosshair Green
    24 May, 2020
    First time Trijicon buyer
This is the most I’ve ever spent on a scope. I own other scopes in the $200-$500 range. Nikon,Bushnell,Leupold. This is my second illuminated dot. I bought a Vortex Hog Hunter a couple years ago that I really like. It’s ugly but does a great job for the money. I wanted to get a scope with a smaller, dimmer dot. This Accupoint is all I hoped it would be. Ring height: I already had Leupold DD bases, so I bought Super High Leupold DD 30mm rings that are perfect height on my Winchester Model 70 Coyote Light 308 with medium contour barrel. Low light: I took the scope out late yesterday evening and compared alongside the Vortex, which I’ve compared to all my other scopes. Honestly they’re all great, but the green dot on the Trijicon is the perfect size. It isn’t the least bit blurry at highest magnification. The dot is crisp, and isn’t too bright even on the highest magnification. Target shooting: I was worried that the dot would completely cover up my 1” stickers on my target at 100 yards. It doesn’t. Also if you turn the shade in the daytime to cover the Tritium, the dot goes away and you have just a regular duplex reticle if you want. Ring torque: According to Trijicon, the ring torque should be 18 in/lbs. Magnification ring: Nice, durable feeling rubber and turns with just the right amount of stiffness. (I love Nikon Monarchs but hate the stiffness of the magnification rings.) Optics Depot from eBay shipped quickly. I was afraid I was getting some old(new) scope that had been in a warehouse for years. I called Trijicon after opening the box and got the manufacture date, which was 12/19, so these folks get em out quickly.

Garmin Xero A1 Bow Hunting Angle Compensation Range Finding Bow Sight RH

I’m enjoying the sight so far. I lowered my first “pin” so that I can see more of a deer in the sight picture. It defaults rather high in the sight which wouldn’t be a problem just shooting targets, but would be an issue for me in a hunting situation. Even though I moved my 20 yard pin down, I’m still able to sight in out to 60 yards. Don’t be discouraged if you have a little trouble with setup. Take your time and watch videos. It’ll all come together. If you have another person available during setup it would be helpful. As you calibrate the sight for different yardages, you’ll range your target at “XX” yards, then the sight will ask “Do you want to calibrate for 30 yards?” You’ll have to let down and hit “Ok”, then shoot. These are just my thoughts. It’s great so far. I also used it alongside my Nikon rangefinder and the Garmin always gives me the same yardage as the Nikon.
