"This amazing book"
I bought this book for my 12 year old granddaughter who is just starting to learn to play the saxophone. This is what she thought
"I have never played the saxophone before and wanted to learn from the bottom upwards so of course I needed a music book. Sso when my grandpa told me that he had found me a wonderful book to learn from I was over the moon and so was my sax teacher. We have both been based around this book listening to the CD and learning quickly. My notes are becoming clearer and the noise that is coming out has been described as spectacular and I would blame it on this amazing book. It has helped me so much these past months because the way it has been set out from easy and gradually getting harder. It has encouraged me to want to carry on playing the saxophone so I can eventually become a professional and be able to learn every piece of music and every note off the top of my head. So a huge thank you from me ! thanks ."

GREAT PICTURES
This is a lavishly illustrated boo to go with an exhibition at the Royal Academy in 1991. It includes some wonderful masterpieces which I had not seen before - some of which vie with the vest best well known examples, The main focus of Mr Buhrle's collection is French Impressionism. But none the worse for that. Indeed, the way the EU is behaving, these pictures may never be seen in the UK again.

A fascinating local nostagia trip
1 of 1 found this helpful My wife's family have lived in the area for over 100 years. Much of the material in this book is available more widely, but not all. Some of the pictures (which are much better treproduced than in many in this series) and bits of information was unknown to them. You would, I suspect, need to live or have regular holidays in this part of the world to really benefit from the book. But, as the population down there grows, so more readers should find this a fascinating look back to the area as it once was.
