Troublesome
Really very difficult to open, especially if you have weak hands, my son who does weight training even found it extremely hard. One thing to do to help is slacken off the line itself which helps but then when you hang washing on it, it droops.
Also blows over very easy in windy conditions so an idea to get something like sandbags or pebbles to hold it down.

Cheap breakable plastic
Very flimsy plastic which the small bit break off. As long as you are ultra careful and keep the glue to hand you are ok. Its ok once up, but wouldnt keep putting it up and down
