This is a perfect introduction to a classic tale for a 8 year old who read it non-stop in one evening!

This edited version of Wuthering Heights was a compelling story for my granddaughter. It is well illustrated which is something that a 8 year old still enjoys. There is a family tree illustrated which is really helpful for keeping track of the characters plus I don't think she had seen a family tree before! The Bronte version could do with one of these! The language , while not very lyrical, certainly wasn't dumbed down. it would have been great for the reader to know who originally wrote the story and to learn a little bit about her. This is a very good introduction to a classic tale for an 8 year old who read it avidly in one evening!
