Plastic fittings
Image is indistinguishable from the painted backround while the thread adapters are of plastic not metal. You must be overly cautious not to strip the threads.

Quality part!
This part fit perfectly with no effort other than disassembly/ reassembly. Whirlpool should supply these free as it corrects a design flaw in their design.

Perfect replacement
This part is equal or better than the part it replaced. That being said, it is hoped it lasts longer as the one it replaced was O.E.M and only two years old. It fit perfectly with all mounting points being perfectly aligned as well as functioning smoothly and quietly as it should. Tracks were pre-greased with white lithium which saved a bit of time and ensures longevity. A great replacement regulator at an even better price!
