Better than I expected
Needs a complete setup, so you need to be able to do this, or have someone do it for you.
Body on mine is not Alder, but a mahogany derivative that grows plentiful in Southern Asian region. Used by the furniture industry as handles, feet and other items. Called Rubberwood by furniture workers, it is durable, has a slight mahogany grain, and this one is pleasantly colorful.
Three piece body.
Neck is good, straight, one piece, no scarf joint, well cut and the growth rings are tight. Hard maple neck, engineered rosewood fretboard, so don't oil it. Little paste wax will be fine. Amazingly, the truss rod nut was not connected to the rod, just in the access hole. Even so, the neck was straight even after I tuned it up. So I put it on and just tightened it enough put on some resistance. I take that actually as a good sign. Even after a day or so, it was still rod straight.
Strings were way too high to even thinking of playing this when it arrived. I lowered all saddles, and although the intonation was about 95%, it was a bit sharp and although the saddles can be moved individually, it is tight in there and the screws that hold the upper octave strings are too small for the large phillips that is stamped into the little heads. Still, I got it there. Be paitent.
Pickguard is one ply black plastic, and the protective plastic used for shipping is hard to get off since the pickguard is mounted under the neck and the plastic is on the neck pickup all the way down the sides of the pickup. Volume and Tone seem to both be A type. Unknown resistance. Switch has a good feel.
Finish is a thick, water clear poly of some sort, and the neck has a thinner version, but the neck finish is perfect. It is a bit neck heavy, but there are 12 tuners out there.
The tuners are bad. They make Jin-Ho tuners look good. They may just be dry. I will put in oil in both the shafts and take off each key and put in a drop down those shafts, see of they loosen up. It does stay in tune, once you get it there.
Pickups turned out to be not bad sounding. I thought I would change them right off, but now, I think I will keep these for a while. Bridge is too bright and thin, but together or just the neck pickup, good sound.
Fit and finish are not perfect, but for this price point, good. Especially the shallow C neck. Not bad at all. The neck alone is worth the deal, at least on mine.
I would buy this again

Great product, exact same as you pay a lot more for in a brick and morter.
Any guitar player knows that they should change strings more often then they tend to. The pricing of this lineup, (many varieties available, just look around), makes it possible to change more often, improving play and sound. What a bargain!

Too busy for the size
Keep in mind this is only 3" at the longest dimension, the bottom center feather to the top of the patch.
Although it is embroidered, and everything is there, it is way too busy for the size.
I will use mine for a shoulder patch.
