If you have quality equipment driving these revealing speakers you will have a gem,they seem to like high power valve amps and English solid state amps like quad , I love them, they produce great results for a vinyl set up, but can be harsh with poor quality recordings or low quality gear, but after all they were the flagship speaker of heybrook and deserve good front end to get the best out of. I personally run with a quad 303/33 with b&o turntable mmc20en, and computer with Cambridge dac magic with great results, sure you can get better but you will need a fat wallet to get new equipment that would show these speakers up.
Bad points are, mid drivers foam perish so be prepared to fix (approx £15 for the kit easy to do this check out YouTube for instructions)
Tweeters can be a touch harsh with cd playback ( fit seas silk dome to replace the plastic one's if you are picky)
Front speaker covers perish, Winslow make replacements or make your own easy out of the correct size picture frame and cover with light material of your choice
For a little work on these or if you find a pair that have been serviced already you will have a lot of speaker for the price of some Chinese made low quality boxes
