A great disc of a great film

Very good transfer with interesting extras. A classic film with great acting and direction.

Worth a look, but the film is better

I saw the film recently and thought it was brilliant, so I felt I had to read the book. I have to say that I think overall the film is better than the book, helped a lot I think by the music, which is very evocative of the period, and some fine acting. Having said that, the book is still well worth a read, is quite well written, very accessible and short enough to read in a few hours
