You have to try it, with different (lean in times) in order to see your desired results

I tried firstly just leaving it for a few minutes. Results - toned
I tried leaving for 5-7 minutes. Results purple tinge
Leaves hair dry - so condition after.
I am still looking to find a toner that would give me that silvery-grey I want!
The price is very good for the actual quantity.
Finally the reviews state that the smell is not very nice. I thought it was pleasant.
