Works but you get what you pay for.
The battery is a tight fit in the laptop so you have to slide the retaining clips manually instead of them automatically clicking closed. The battery charges and retains a good charge. The battery indicator on Windows 7 shows the battery stopping charging at 97% using a genuine Lenovo charger. I do not know if this indicator needs to be or can be calibrated or whether the battery is not perfect. Its a lot better than the worn out original battery! I purchased the higher capacity (more cells) battery than what my laptop came with and due to the original battery only lasting seconds I cannot comment on the performance of this replacement as I have nothothing to compare it to.
Couple of hours work well spent repairing clutch hydraulics
Good quality and reasonably easy to fit althought the semi rigid pipework does not fit where the original LandRover pipe clips on due to the bends being different. This was a minor issue sorted with cable ties. The fitting onto the clutch pedal is fiddly and not made easier by my size as I'm 6'4" tall and not exactly slim! When replacing the clutch hydraulic system I would reccommend changing the Slave Cylinder bracket at the same time as it does flex and is probably broken even if you cannot see it without removing it.
All in all a couple of hours work well spent as the clutch feels better than it did before the Slave cylinder broke.
What can I say...
Arrives needing basic assembly which is done by easy to follow instructions. My one complaint is that the only Allen key supplied is a small one for fitting the pressure release knob to the ram but there are 2 other sizes required. I have a comprehensive tool collection so this was not a problem to me but it could be for someone else. It would not cost the manufacturer much to put another 2 cheap Allen keys in the box. The only other tool I used was a small adjustable spanner.
I tried the log splitter with a large unseasoned log, which my axe just bounced off, and it split it without any problem. The pedals flop about on their linkages but I will add washers to firm them up.
This is not the easiest, as you physically have to pump the ram, or fastest way to split wood. If that’s what you want get an electric splitter. This splitter was chosen because of its log size capacity, it gives twice the force of an electric splitter and it’s considerably cheaper. It is so easy to use my partner and daughter can use it.
It’s brilliant! Now I have 10 ton of logs to split...
