more robust than paper labels
The film labels, as distinguished from paper rolls, although not intended to be resistant to immersion, or to direct repeated or lengthy rainstorm exposure, are generally more resilient than plain paper, and seem to hold up better for longer in outdoor conditions, and other more demanding environments.
