Offers great value. Durable, precise and easy to use at a very good price.
I've been fixing bicycles for over 50 years so full appreciate having durable and precise tools.
Recently I lost my Park derailleur adjustment gauge and, in searching online fo a replacement, saw this new brand that looked very similar to the Park tool, but at a significantly lower price so I gave it s shot.
The trick with this tool is to be able to easily adjust both the horizontal slide (moving in the plane of the hanger bracket) and the vertical slide (moving perpendicular to the rim surface) simultaneously.
The horizontal slide on the CycloSpirit Gauge works as well as the Park toolas both use friction slides. The vertical slide on the CycloSpirit Gauge is a bit more difficult to use as it uses a mechanical slide that needs to be locked after each adjustment whereas the Park tool again has a friction slide.
However, after adjusting a few frames you do develop some techniques that minimize this difference and the resulting frame adjustments with the CycloSpirit Gauge are as accurate as with the Park tool.
