The Banks Bandits Get started forming Special Force
Good history of the start of Modern day Army Special Forces. It starts in early 1950's about a young member joining because of his high tests scores. It takes place in the United States as well as Germany. Col A. Banks is considered the "Father of Special Forces" he was in the OSS durning WW ll.
I believe the persons real names should have been used it would have more creditably to the acts and actions in the story.
I served over 15 years in Special Forces and I heard it was a good book on how we got started, which it is.

1st Assignment inthe Army
This book gives an excellent account of how Berlin was sectioned out to the 4 Powers from the start to the end.
I learned about the "Rape of Berlin" in 1945 I didn't know how bad it was. The removing of 85% of the factories from the US Zone.
The Wall going up and it coming down which opened the City to Berlin no longer West and East Berlin.
