Lightweight with little to commend it.
The book is described as a murder story but is much more concerned with domestic violence and the murder is just a vehicle for this to happen. I personally did not like the style - Mills and Boon meets drama! The characters were poorly developed and unbelievable, as is the whole plot.
Some serious topics dealt with in a very lighthearted manner. Not for me or anyone who seriously enjoys crime fiction.

An unexpected pleasure to read
At the start of the book it is quite difficult to warm to this character, but soon aspects of Ove's history are revealed and you come to realise why he is the man he is. It is funny and sad, with descriptions of a community to which you feel you completely understand.
