corgi 150 AEC 8 wheel lorry suttons
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a detailed model which was on the road in the 1960s, a much missed firm Suttons of Penzance which was trading still in 1977. I remember seeing their lorries in St Ives on holiday in 1977 although the livery had changed to yellow and red. the model is made from steel and is very heavy for its size.

F89
A very detailed model of a lorry which was built between 1975 - 1982
The F89 was years ahead of its time with sleeper cab and 320 bhp engine . It was built as a long distance truck and many uk hauliers put them to work going to the middle east. In 1975 British lorry builders Atkinson ERF Foden were still building day cabs without air ride seats and low powered engines which led to Volvo taking the market.
Also its made in steel and plastic These models are not toys but are for model collectors; The corgi models do go up in value over time and are a good investment, if they have been well looked after.
