PARS AUTOMATIC RICE COOKER
This 10 cups Pars rice cooker cooked my rice just exactly as I expected. I purchased it from an American supplier via ebay. It is well made and easy to use. However, it operates on 120V/60HZ voltage supply and I have had to buy an expensive and bulky 2000W step down transformer converter, to convert the UK 240V/50HZ power supply down to 120V/60HZ voltage. The reason why the transformer has such high power, is because the rice cooker needs 700W of power to cook the rice and the rice cooker's power rating must be well above the rice cooker's power needs, otherwise it would burn out quickly. This is the only difficulty or criticism I have about this rice cooker, otherwise it cooked the rice perfectly. It is made in China, which makes it for the Asian and American markets, where the power supplies are 110/120V-60HZ. I would recommend this rice cooker to anyone, but it is a personal choice due to the voltage issue.
