Like a New Shaver Every Day and Very Comfortable
The best shaver that I had ever had was a Payer. Once it was no longer possible to obtain spares for this, I took advantage of a deal at Boots and bought a Remington. This was OK but when it was due to be replaced, I remembered that Payer was owned by Braun and decided to give their products a try. I do not regret this decision; the Braun is every bit as good as my old Payer and I have no hesitation in recommending it. It is not the cheapest to run as it has a self-cleaning system which requires the purchase of tubs of cleaning fluid which each last about thirty days but the advantage of this system is that you always have a clean, hygenic, fully charged shaver to use and the fluid contains a lubricant which should help to extend the life of the foil: time will tell. The shaver has its own "brain" that will remind you when the foil and cutters are due for replacement (every eighteen months) and when the head needs cleaning (if you have been away from the docking station for a while). The bottom line is the quality of the shave and I cannot fault this: it is smooth and close and has not caused me any irritation.
