R10 Cam Corder

I bought this cam corder since it is very compact and has a glass cover over the lens so is protected from things like snow when skiing.Also I do like the High Definition images and I have already down loaded some video on to youtube.com where it comes out very well.The camera also does good quality stills and it is pretty easy to use. I am using 8Gb chips which I think will hold about one hour of video, perhaps more, I have yet to fill one up!! I haven't yet mastered the editing facility, only having had the camera about 3 weeks. The slanted angle of the lens seems a bit funny and they say is designed to make it easier to hold for shooting...not too sure about that, but getting used to it now. The one thing that is awkward is trying to press the button(s) for recording start and stop when wearing ski gloves!!! But I can't expect everything. This is the first camera that does video that I have owned, having put off buying anything before since the choices and options were changing so much. I think that this product has no moving parts (like discs or tapes etc) and is less likely to go wrong. Would I by it again if it went missing...oh yes!!! It is very good value for money as well.

Clarity required.

I wanted a cable for a FinePix E510 and it wasn't that clear that this was for an Olympus E510, only to discover that these are DIFFERENT.
