David Essex - The Best Of David Essex (CD 1995)
It's hard to find an artist more evocative of the 70's than David Essex. Some of his hits were classics of their type, "Rock On" "Lamplight" "Hold Me Close" etc etc. Disappointingly however, there has been a string of "best of" type Cd's released by him that have failed to deliver. Rather than releasing a collection of his original recordings, he has re-recorded his old hits with a new arrangement. They jarr on the ear and leave you wishing you'd spent your money elsewhere. I wasn't a huge fan of his at the time they were originally released but was familiar with his songs from the radio. Now I appreciate them more and find listening to them almost comforting. This CD gives you all his hits AND in the original format. Whether you are listening to him for the first time or rediscovering him as I am, this CD is unlikely to disappoint and is, in my opinion, a more accurate reflection of his work than any previously released.

Good product.
A well put together item. Easy to install. I'm an amateur, but the wiring is no harder than wiring a domestic plug. Once installed, it operated perfectly.

Whitesnake - The Early Years (CD 2004)
Whitesnake was one of the most influential rock bands of their era. Although incorporating many of the old members of Deep Purple, Whitesnake had a very individual sound and their mix of rock and lilting blues created a breathtaking range of music. This one of of those albums that you can play over and over, whether remembering the songs or hearing them for the first time you cannot fail to be swept along by the driving riffs and unashamedly sexist lyrics. So get the car window down, turn the CD player up to full volume and enjoy!!!
