Tired of wasting time and $$ on cheap controllers
1 of 1 found this helpful After wasting my time and money on bargain basement controllers, decided to go for something that worked properly from the beginning, and didn't fail after a few months of use. Excellent diagnostics, easy to understand display, and a well-written user guide. Very easy to install and very easy to use. Company (Morningstar) has a great reputation and history of designing high quality solar controllers. You can even get support from the company here in the USA, and that is not possible for the cheap knock-offs.

Look good. Easy on budget. Poor utility if you really need fog lamps.
This is a bargain product compared to OEM. Fair quality and quite a bit lower price than OEM. Doesn't fit the bumper openings tightly, but looks plenty good "from across the street". There were no instructions included. Zero, nada, none. So, if you do not know auto wiring, you may have trouble. Also, the wire included didn't really reach where they needed to be, so I had to do a bit of cutting and splicing. They work okay, but fogged up inside at first bout of wet weather. I bought them mainly for looks rather than utility (Ford plastic covers for the location holes are uglier than sin). If you decide to replace the included lamps with higher wattage, you will need to beef up the wire from the relay to 10 AWG.

Original but marginal copy quality
Have had this in our collection in both VHS and DVD. Our DVD version was lost in a cross-country move. For some reason the digital version (DVD) we just bought to replace our lost one seems of very poor quality and grainy resolution. We re-watched the VHS version which was very clear and much more colorful. Not sure why this copy is so poor in color and quality, or if the "re-mastering" was actually any improvement. Looks more like someone copied it off a television screen than an actual digital copy.
In short, we are not pleased with the quality as our past versions have been better.
